We'll start this week by looking at the transition from Civil Rights to Black Power by examining several key events that radicalized activists in the mid-1960s: the voting rights struggle in Lowndes County, the Watts and subsequent urban rebellions/riots, and the Meredith March of 1966. At the end of the week we'll start to learn about the Black Panther Party.
