We'll begin this week by discussing the organizations that pushed the Civil Rights Movement forward and then we'll watch and discuss the film Freedom Song to get a better sense of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee's first organizing project in Mississippi and how that shaped the Civil Rights Movement.
