Week 35: May 9 - 13

This week we'll examine the two largest Civil Rights demonstrations of the 1960s: the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and the 1964 NYC Boycott. A bottom-up history of both demonstrations allows us to get a better picture of the Civil Rights Movement and challenges much of the traditional narrative that told the story from the perspective of a few leaders on the stage at the March on Washington.
