We'll begin this week by finishing Freedom Song to get a better sense of SNCC's first organizing project in Mississippi and how that shaped the Civil Rights Movement. We'll end by starting a role play on the March on Washington — focusing on the marchers instead of those on the stage and in doing so, revealing a fuller picture of the Civil Rights Movement.
