Week 28: March 15 - 19

Periods 3, 6, 7 and 8:

We'll start this week watching an EdPuzzle that will deepen our understanding of how Andrew Johnson's policies hurt newly freed people and how Congress pushed back on those policies. Then, we'll step into the role of Black delegates who met across the south in 1868 to rewrite the basic laws of the land. We'll debate the key questions that they debated as they transformed the South. You'll have two assignments detailed in Google Classroom:

1) Edpuzzle: From Presidential to Radical Reconstruction

2) 1868 Role Play Worksheet and Participation

Periods 2a and 2b:

We'll continue working on our "Who Freed the Slaves?" essays and I'll be individually conferencing with students throughout the week.
