First, we'll write a piece of historical fiction — a narrative based off of the Reconstruction improvisations we watched and performed last week. Then we'll read two historians that discuss the revolutionary transformations of the era — Lerone Bennett Jr. and Steven Hahn. Finally, we'll use their words to celebrate this era of Black power by creating a found poem. In addition to the reading and writing packet, you'll submit the narrative and the found poem on Google Classroom this week.
