Week 12: November 16 - 20

Updated: Nov 18, 2020

This week we'll be moving on to a new subject. We'll start our dive into African American history by heading to Africa, interrogating the stereotypes our society teaches us about Africa, in particular, African history before contact with Europeans, and then we'll begin to discuss how Europeans were able to enslave Africans. You will have three major assignments to complete this week (detailed in Google Classroom):

1) Nearpod: Intro to Africa

2) Edpuzzle: Africa's Empires of Gold

3) African Slave Trade Simulation: Debrief Questions

and a smaller warm-up assignment (also detailed in Google Classroom):

1) Malcolm X and Kwaku Asare Quote Response
