Welcome! We'll start our course this week by developing some classroom norms, discussing why we study African American history, and end by looking at some statistics on race and racism in the United States today. In addition. to your weekly packets (explained in the syllabus) you'll submit two assignments on Google Classroom:
1) Exploring the Syllabus (Homework)
2) To what extent is the U.S. living up to its ideals? paragraph (in class)
