After completing our end-of-unit reflection on Monday, we'll move onto our new unit about Reconstruction this week. We'll start the unit in the Georgia Sea Islands, role playing an incredible experiment in Black self-determination that occurred during the end of the Civil War that birthed the famous phrase "40 acres and a mule" and set the tone for the entire Reconstruction era to come. On Friday I'll give a short presentation on writing introductions and then you'll have time to prepare for your midterm essay.
